Google follows up the OG Pixel Buds Pro with version 2 and I must say that the Pro 2s are better in just about every way. The stand out feature to me really isn't a feature it's more about the fit. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is 27% smaller and it shows. This helps with the fit and the wing tip is there to make sure things stay nice and snug. The rest of the package is very similar to the previous model just better. Check the video for my thoughts and see if the Pixel Buds Pro 2 may be a good fit for you. No pun intended.

Google really outdone themselves with the Pixel 9 lineup this year and the 9 Pro XL is leading the pack. Just about every component was upgraded and the software has been refined. Albeit Android 15 launched nearly two months after the phones. With that being said, these are Google's best phones to date. Check out the video for more of my thoughts on the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The JBL Tune 520BTs are probably the budget headphones of the year. There is a lot to like from the design to the sound and even the entry level features are pretty compelling. Today on my Pixel 8 Pro I received a UI update for the Google Tasks app. While minor in nature, the overall look of the app arrangement makes more sense, at least to me. The FAB button is in the same spot on the bottom right side. The action buttons that were once on the left side are now on the upper right side of the app. No new functionality was introduced but that's to be expected. I like what Google did here. The bottom of the app where the FAB button is made the bottom bar look beefier than it needed to. The back border adds depth to the app and keeps things looking clean. Back in May I returned the JBL Live 670NCs and picked the JBL Tune 520BTs instead and so far I am pleasantly surprised with my decision. Don't get me wrong the Live 670s served me well, however, with me also picking up the JBL Live 770NCs in April I felt that the 670s were too similar to the 770s in terms of features. Review is coming by the way for the 770s. With the 520s I get enough of a difference while saving some money. Let's get into the mini review. Comfort I find the 520s to be more comfortable than the 670s. To me, the 670s clamped down on my ears and head while the 520s just sat on my ears. There is a piece of rubber or plastic at the top of the headband that provides some cushion. The ear cups are fine and work as intended. About a week ago I purchased the JBL Live 670NCs and went in with no real expectations. I had experience with JBL headphones in the past but for some reason I went into this purchase with a blank slate. Off the back the 670NCs were very familiar to me. I owned the JBL Live 460NCs which are the predecessor to these and the design is nearly identical. I don't think this is a bad thing as I tend to like JBLs design language. The body is made of a light weight plastic but feels well made. The headband and side clamps feel like it could be made with metal as it feels strong and cool to the touch. I went with black and the finish is matte which is a nice touch. Fingerprints do appear on the headphones there just not as noticeable. The buttons on the right side of the ear cup are nice and click-y.
