Chrome OS is updating its release cycle to be even more frequent just like Chrome

Not quite the announcement I was hoping for but Google announced today that Chrome OS will adopt a 4-week update cycle like Chrome. This is a bold move, in my opinion, however, it's a move I really like. This allows for Google to iterate even faster and push the bounds of what's possible on its desktop/mobile OS.

More on the release from Google below…

To deliver new features more rapidly to consumers while also continuing to prioritize the key pillars of Chrome OS – security, stability, speed and simplicity – Chrome OS will move to a 4-week stable channel starting with M96 in Q4. For enterprise and education users, Chrome OS will also introduce a new channel with a 6-month update cadence by M96. More details to be announced soon.

With the change taking effect with Chrome OS 96 the Chrome OS team decided to skip M95. My guess, skipping M95 will give Google time to get things nice and tight before forging down this new path of OS update rhythm..

Again... Although this was not the move I was hoping for. Cough Fuchsia. I do believe this is the right move for the platform. The OS is already improving by leaps and bounds and this change will only accelerate the plans Google ultimately has for Chrome OS. Google is innovating by iterating faster than anyone else. And I must say I'm all for it!

Pixel Buds Pro 2 review after 1 month | Google's Premium Earbuds

Google follows up the OG Pixel Buds Pro with version 2 and I must say that the Pro 2s are better in just about every way. The stand out feature to me really isn't a feature it's more about the fit. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is 27% smaller and it shows. This helps with the fit and the wing tip is there to make sure things stay nice and snug. The rest of the package is very similar to the previous model just better. Check the video for my thoughts and see if the Pixel Buds Pro 2 may be a good fit for you. No pun intended.

JBL Live 770NC review | An all around performer

The JBL Live 770NC headphones are a good choice for those looking for a combination of noise cancellation, sound quality, and comfort. Check out the video below for my thoughts on the Live 770NCs after a few months of use.

Google Tasks just received a visual update

Today on my Pixel 8 Pro I received a UI update for the Google Tasks app. While minor in nature, the overall look of the app arrangement makes more sense, at least to me. The FAB button is in the same spot on the bottom right side. The action buttons that were once on the left side are now on the upper right side of the app. No new functionality was introduced but that's to be expected. I like what Google did here. The bottom of the app where the FAB button is made the bottom bar look beefier than it needed to. The back border adds depth to the app and keeps things looking clean. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think in the comments section.
